Downtown Carpark Extension
When Maltbys was contracted to build two additional carpark floors on top of the existing 6-level Downtown Carpark in Auckland, they chose the SPEEDFLOOR® Concrete Floor system.
This allowed them to undertake the project, which also involved seismic structural improvements to the existing carpark building and phased lift replacements, while the carpark remained operational.

Dominion Constructors is a New Zealand owned construction company who has been trading for over 40 years.<\/p>\n<p>The six-storey public parking building serves several apartments, a rooftop gym, street-level commercial units and is near a major event centre. Uniquely, the carpark is covered in 187 individually imprinted aluminium panels that create a Nikau Palm Design.<\/p>\n<h5>Clean, Uninterrupted Installation<\/h5>\n<p>The structural steel on the Eastside parking building was erected to its full height before the SPEEDFLOOR<span style=\"position: relative; font-size: 16.0284px; line-height: 0; vertical-align: baseline; top: -0.5em;\">®<\/span> was installed, giving the contractor a clean, uninterrupted installation run to the top floor of the structure. In doing this, they achieved 2,150 square metres of finished SPEEDFLOOR<span style=\"position: relative; font-size: 16.0284px; line-height: 0; vertical-align: baseline; top: -0.5em;\">®<\/span>
